First Supervisor Prosecution

Following a workplace death in the Northern Territory, the principal, the contractor and the contractor supervisor are all being charged in relation to the death. According to ABC news online and The Herald Sun the charge alleges the company failed to meet its obligation to operate and maintain the refinery asite and minimise risk to the health and safety if workers.

This is the first time an individual has been charged for this in the Northern Territory .
