Last week, weekending August 26, some Archer College staff Bill Cooper, Cathy Crafter, Phil Lomax and John Hannaford, Archer Affiliate Fiona Martin of Melbourne, and of course our new clients and the stars of the show,  the HR and training gurus of Australian Rail Track Corporation Ltd.

ARTC

currently has responsibility for the management of 4430 route kilometres of standard gauge interstate track. It manages the tracks, every thing beneath the trains.

Jane Forster was our very skilled trainer in our learning platform our CCMS, which we all love for its simplicity and tracking capabilities.

Sharepoint RSS/OPML plugin released

Dan Larson recently released an RSS plugin for Sharepoint. It includes a "nifty" OPML generator for SPWeb list feeds and autogenerated feeds for SharePoint lists. Thanks to Marcus Hass for pointing that out.

Go ahead and add ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ to your scorecard for special edition iPods (you have a collection, don’t you?). Between the TiVo edition, Hello Kitty edition, Neon Genesis Evangelion edition, Star Wars edition, U2 edition, HP edition, and probably a slew of others, the special editions don’t seem so special anymore. Runat has announced the release of the ‘Nightmare Before Christmas BOX,’ which includes a 20GB iPod with Jack Skellington on the case, a few wheel stickers, and a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed carrying case. Oh yeah, and a free T-shirt! All this for a mere 52,500 yen (~$475 USD). Of course this is Japan only, don’t you know they’re the ones still obsessed with Burton?

There is lots of 'buzz' in both the BlogoSphere and PodoSphere with the main meme being 'who are the nameless faces behind these blogs'. This is an important concept for Archer College and I suggest you tune into the conversations and learn. Some of the bloggers have come forward and identified themselves as 'hired hands'. Scoble is on the case and I look forward to his views on the matter.
